This thesis attempts to throw light on the broad spectrum between too much sound, known as noise, and too little sound, known as silence. Above all this thesis aims to create more awareness of the soundscape, conscious perception and responsible behavior.
The acoustic environment is comprised of everything that we hear. Language and music, as well as natural and artificial sounds help people to orient themselves in their surroundings, and enter into close contact with them. Nevertheless, in daily life most people have a careless approach to their hearing. At the same time the ear is an extremely sensitive organ for the very reason that it is constantly ready to receive signals.
