Congratulations to Maria Moschik, who has received the Red Dot seal in recognition of her convincing design quality and creativity!
The publication “printed – described – laminated – stamped – sent | The history of the postcard, with new design methods”, which was her bachelor’s thesis project, was recognized with Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018.
As a vintage printed product the postcard is not only consistently loved, but also often forgotten. The goal was to show what a postcard can do, and what one can still get out of this medium with the help of gamification methods.
The bachelor’s thesis documents the conception and prototypical creation of new forms of postcards. The manufacturing process of the attached samples is recorded in the accompanying instruction booklet. An important element was the playful aspect which comes with this medium.
