At the end of winter semester talented young creative teams from IND16 presented their game designs with educational and learning topics for mobile devices in the Pecha Kucha form in front of jurors from the industry. The student contest for the Golden Pineapple Awards™ is focused on developing awareness among young game designers and creative people of the potential of games as media for learning.
The Golden Pineapples for 2018 were awarded in following categories:
Members of the five-headed jury were Daniela Hauswirth (Bongfish), Kornelia Hoffmann (AVL), Markus Barta (Bytepoets), Julian Kogler (Bongfish) and Paul Pivec (CranberryBlue R&D). Jurors were covering topics of user interface and user experience design, game design and game production, app and web development and usage of simulations for learning.
The Applied Game Design class and Golden Pineapple Awards™ were hosted by Maja Pivec.
