In cooperation with Institute of Design & Communication and JamToday Project, and in the framework of the mYouth project, EYA organized another two and a half days long game and app creation marathon at the FH JOANNEUM in Graz, Austria. The game jam took place from 14th to 16th of April 2016.
The second EYA game jam focused on Jam Today’s special topic Learning Mathematics and Heartbeat for the World – as Graz, Schladming and Ramsau are the host cities of the Special Olympics World Winter Games in 2017.
The event started with Playful Keynotes, followed by moderated brainstorming and team building phase. With pens, paper, scissors and computers – everyone was working on character design, coding and sound design. The last day focused on finalization and testing of the games and preparing presentations.
The result: 30 participants developed 6 games for a variety of platforms (mobile phones, PC and game console). The jury decided to award two great games with two first places – Mathemagician and Pass the hearts.
Excellent event, it was great! Hope you will join us next year.
