In three somewhat chaotic, but also incredibly insightful days, students of the course “Information Design” collaborated with Carl Nielbock & Belinda Nielbock from Detroit, creating their own Austrian eagle & learning a lot about upcycling and the history of the Austrian coat of arms along the way. With the support of Sigrid Bürstmayr from FH JOANNEUM & Markus Ofner from BAN Graz, we first conducted independent research on the topic of upcycling, before going on the hunt for materials, assembling our own eagle & creating an interactive presentation to inform fellow students about the rich and diverse history of the Austrian eagle. Thanx to Detroit Creative Corridor Center and Designmonat Graz for supporting us!
