Seppo Gründler and I attended the International Seminar Week 2017 at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd from 24th to 28th April 2017.
Within the topic “Crossing Boundaries”, more than 20 international guest lecturers were invited to work with the design students of the bachelor and master programs.

Our workshop featured the heading “Stealing like an Artist”. First students got input about artist’s methods dealing with current problems and topics. Afterwards they students had to pick topics which they were concerned about and to apply the learned methods. They had to figure out issues, problems and solutions of subject areas like global warming, resources, waste problem, artificial intelligence, fake news and online security.

In addition to the 18 workshops, 3 lectures with the main topic “Virtual reality” as well as the International Fair took place at the HfG. Get some impressions from the pics below about the workshop!

Thanks to the students, who took part in our workshop and did a great job, as well as Ulrich Schendzielorz and Claire Garnier for organizing this great International Seminar Week!
