In the last few years no other pillar of our economy has gained as much significance as the creative industry. Technical progress allows new modes of working and pushes traditional forms into the background. Being self-employed, however, does not only bring advantages, but it also brings about enormous responsibility. Coworking spaces and collective offices will shape the future of creative jobs.
Greta Grabner, the author of this master’s thesis, investigates the terms creative industries, coworking, and collective. Her own experience shall offer young creatives insights into self-employment and help them find useful answers to the most crucial questions. The second part focuses on the development of the collective office 4\vier in Graz—from the initial idea, to finding suitable premises, to creating a finished corporate design.
